Peste Noire are one of the leading French Black Metal bands at present, gaining reputation after releasing three excellent raw demos and a split with French NSBMers Sombre Chemin, before going on to release the decadent, beautiful yet evil La Sanie des siècles - Panégyrique de la dégénerescence, an album filled with excellent riffs, solos and beautiful acoustics. They've continued on with the Lorraine Rehearsal EP, containing four, occassionally thrashy tracks and an expanded "Phalènes Et Pestilence - Salvatrice Averse," the filthy, sick and French Folkfuck Folie and the compilation Mors Orbis Terrarum. Note: Peste Noire are not NSBM, contrary to the Aryan Supremacy demo and their logo.

Also include demo version of "Retour De Flamme" and "Dueil Angoisseus" from La Sanie des siècles, the longer version of "Phalènes et Pestilence" found on the Lorraine Rehearsal EP, the previously unreleased track "L'hymne en l'honneur de la peste" and "Extraits des Chants de Maldoror," some narration, follow by the opening riff to "Le Mort Joyeux."
